Realizing that nothing outside of us can be assured, we are forced to step onto the Spiritual Path and to ask the deeper questions, seek something higher and create new answers. Being here on Planet Earth is both full of possibility and extremely challenging and I consider us all Masters for simply showing up here. Things may get worse before they get better, especially if people lose themselves in the ongoing dramas of the external world. From my perspective, inner questioning and unrest are often signals that our Soul is Calling us to an Inner Awakening that will move us to the next level of our Soul’s evolution and help us remember all that we truly are ... Divine Energy Beings having a human experience. But, how do we make this leap in the midst of the confusion and chaos of such an accelerated and challenging world?

I have spent years “waking up” from my own horizontal trance of external expectations and values, and have come to know that most of life’s pain comes from being aligned only with the horizontal external world and not in alignment with what I call our Diamond Self Within. I also learned that suffering was not necessary... that when I said “Yes” to realigning with my Authentic Diamond Self in Vertical Alignment with my Soul, my pain was relieved almost immediately.

In our fast-paced demanding world, staying Awake and consciously maintaining this Alignment with our Soul, our Diamond Self Within, and its Divine Plan for our lives is difficult. When we slip out of this Alignment in the trance of the horizontal, we can feel anxious, depressed and confused deep within, wondering “why am I here?” and “what is my Divine Purpose?”…even believing that we have no purpose. This unrest can be occurring on the inner levels even when we may be experiencing outer success. When it is time for us to Awaken to something higher within ourselves, our Soul sometimes calls us “home” to our Highest Diamond Potential through physical and emotional pain.
